Who The Marian Servants of The Eucharist are:

“A PRIVATE  ASSOCIATION OF THE CHRISTIAN FAITHFUL”

  1. The Marian Servants are laity who live in their own homes, caring for their families, working in the “marketplace” – using all the gifts and talents given to them by God to evangelize the world to Jesus.

We are called to be Saints – We are called to be Holy – We are called to bear witness to a truly Christian life.
  2. We come together as community to share our “Faith Experience,” to gather together in the “Temple” for prayer and praise, and to be a service to God’s people and His Church especially in the Diocese of Baton Rouge.

“This may be a wicked age, but your lives should redeem it.” (Ephes. 5:15) “Our lives should be a sign that provokes contradiction.” John Paul II
  3. We are committed to a Rule of Life for a period of one year. (not under pain of sin)

  4. We can belong to more than one private CHRISTIAN association.

What The Marian Servants  of The Eucharist are not:

  1. We are not a Covenant community. (sharing all things in common-Acts 2 & 4)

  2. We are not a Third Order.(connected to a Religious order) If you are, this does not prevent you from belonging to a lay association.

  3. We are not a vowed or consecrated life under the pain of sin: this is what Priests and religious are.

  4. To bring the healing love of Jesus to a broken world(we are wounded healers but to the extent that we are healed, we will be able to bring healing to others).

  5. To exhibit trust in the loving providence of Almighty God in the affairs of daily life, and most especially by taking as our model, Mary, the Mother of Christ to a broken world.

  6. To make reparation for sins through prayer, fasting and works of charity to a broken world.

  7. To provide, free of charge, spiritual direction and direction and guidance to a directee through the Ignatian Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola.
